Helping us to 'keep going'

Mobility Advice Line is a voluntary organisation with no official funding. We cannot survive without the support of the community.
Here are the ways in which you can help us:

Become a volunteer:

Help out on the telephone giving advice to disabled members of the public, their family, carers or friends. This can be as little or as much of your free time you wish to give

Become a trustee:

As well as answering the telephone Mobility Advice Line requires a lot of behind-the-scenes maintenance. We have volunteers who do not feel they are suitable for operating the line but do help us out in other ways, such as fund-raising. There may be other ways in which you can help (this website is designed and maintained free of charge by a volunteer, for example). Contact us if you would like to offer your services, whatever your talents might be.

Donations

It costs to run Mobility Advice Line. We take on average 500 calls per year, so that's £1 per call! We receive no official funding but rely on donations of money and services from well wishers. There are three ways you can give money Mobility Advice Line

1. Simply send a cheque payable to Mobility Advice Line.

2. Fill out a standing order;

* £2.00 will keep our phone line open for half an hour each month!
* £6.00 will keep our line open for 1 hour and 30 minutes each month!
* £12.00 will keep our lines open for one whole day each month!

3. Leave Mobility Advice Line a legacy in your will. For details contact Brynn.

The more people who know of our existence and services we provide, the more people we can help. If you have a website, you can put us on your links page; please use the URL www.mobility-advice.org.uk

We will also be reaching more prospective volunteers and benefactors!
